Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis and Executive Director Patrick Willingham announced the line-up today for The Public's 2018-19 Season at their landmark home on 425 Lafayette Street. The iconic New York destination, which includes five theaters and Joe's Pub, as well as The Library restaurant, has been home to over 50 years of revolutionary theater, and continues this season with new work by Emerging Writers Group alum and 2017-18 Tow Foundation Playwright-in-Residence Patricia Ione Lloyd, Public Studio alumni Hansol Jung and Jordan E. Cooper, Master Writer Chair Suzan-Lori Parks, Conor McPherson, Simon Stephens, Nick Payne, Jane Anderson, Tim Blake Nelson, and Luis Alfaro, as well as the continuation of year-round and community engagement programming: Mobile Unit, Public Works, Under the Radar Festival, Public Studio, Public Forum, Public Shakespeare Initiative, Emerging Writers Group, and the beloved Free Shakespeare in the Park.

 Seattle Repertory Theatre today announced that after an extensive national search, the organization has hired Angie Kamel as the next Public Works Seattle Director. Adapted from the nationally recognized model built by New York City's prestigious The Public Theater, Public Works Seattle creates theatre of the people, by the people, and for the people of our region, and seeks to engage audiences in new ways by making them creators and not just spectators.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) Artistic Director Bill Rauch announced the Festival's 2019 playbill today. Classical plays with strong female leads make up Seattle Shakespeare Company's upcoming season just announced by Artistic Director George Mount.  Plans for the company's 2018-2019 season include Richard III, Arms and the Man, All's Well That Ends Well, She Stoops to Conquer, and As You Like It. "The thematic narrative for the shows is All's Fair in Love and War," said Mount. "Each of the plays has something to say about the efforts that people go through to get what they want either in the field of combat or the field of romance."

Does anybody have a map... to Canada? Producer Stacey Mindich just announced that she will partner with Canadian producer David Mirvish to present the first international production of the Tony & Grammy Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen, which will play Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre beginning in March 2019. The original Broadway production team - including Tony, Grammy, and Academy Award winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Music & Lyrics), Tony Award-winner Steven Levenson (Book), and four-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif (Direction) - will reunite to launch this production.

As the annual festival of fearless storytelling, Roundhouse Last Worst Festival returns to the Roundhouse for two and a half weeks of bold performances from established and emerging spoken word artists. Boundless Theatre and Boom Shakalaka Productions will present new songs from Parakeet - a work in development by Brigitte Aphrodite, with music and additional lyrics by Quiet Boy, directed by Laura Keefe on June 28th.

A North American Tour is announced today for the Lincoln Center Theater Broadway Production of FALSETTOS, William Finn and James Lapine's groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical. This production was nominated for five Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival when it returned to Broadway in Fall 2016, and this production will tour North America in the coming season.

American Composers Orchestra (ACO) announces two performances presented by Carnegie Hall in Zankel Hall during the 2018-2019 season.
