GO-GO KILLERS: SUCKER PUNCH will feature a preview performance by the cast of the retro-futuristic, ass-kicking new play, Go-Go Killers, written by Sean Gill and Directed & Choreographed by Rachel Klein, playing at The Sage Theater (711 Seventh Avenue, 2nd floor), May 8-30. Actors featured in this special performance will include Elizabeth Stewart, Kari Warchock, Jillaine Gill, Reagan Wilson, Leasen Almquist, Dana Perry, Dasha Kittredge, Megan O'Connor, Robyn Nielsen, Michael Porsche, and B-Movie Star, Kevin G. Shinnick!

First time playwright Peter Morgan's attention-grabbing drama of politics as entertainment is absolutely the best new play I've seen this season.

The Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis will produce the Midwest premiere of Steven Yockey's Octopus on its Mainstage June 11 through July 11, 2009. There will be no performance on Saturday, July 4, but there will be a bonus performance on Wednesday, July 1, at 7:00p.m. Other performances are Thursdays at 7:00p.m., Fridays at 8:00p.m., and Saturdays at 8:00p.m.during the run.

Entertainmnt Weekly is reporting that Amanda Seyfried's, best known for her singing-and-dancing role in Mamma Mia, has been force to drop out of Zack Snyder's 1960s-set, fantasy Sucker Punch for Warner Bros. Seyfried was offered the lead role of Baby Doll, a young woman who has been committed to an insane asylum and fantasizes about escaping with the help of her fellow inmates.

Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold introduces Almeida Greeks: 'We are delighted to announce our Greek festival this summer at the Almeida: three major productions of Greek tragedy in our theatre from May to November. Inspired in form and spirit by the Greek Dionysia, we will also present a festival of other work in the theatre and off site, including responses, talks, readings and panels At the Almeida we strive to create theatre that asks questions of its audiences, of who they are and the world they live in, work that is alive and resonant. When we came to the writers of Ancient Greece we wanted to be true to their plays - staging them in full complexity, presenting their formal iconoclasm, their humour, musicality, politics, violence and unswerving drama. These writers took society's old myths and made them new: changed them, exploded them, set them loose as contemporary stories that spoke to their city. At the same time they posed big, provocative, uncomfortable questions; ones which two thousand years later, we still struggle to answer We want to follow their example. We are taking the Greeks out of the Attic.'

Zack Snyder ('300,' 'Watchmen') revealed to IESB.net that 'Mamma Mia!' star Amanda Seyfried is in talks for one of the five lead female roles in Snyder's upcoming action film 'Sucker Punch'.
