City Center
131 W. 55th St. New York, NY

Based on the best-selling Studs Terkel book of the same name, Working: A Musical evokes the unsung nobility of American workers. From the hardworking cashier to the tired steelworker, this musical exalts the hopes, dignity, and sense of purpose shared by each one of us.

This new incarnation of Working incorporates stories from modern communities making it a living, breathing testament to the people who make this country run. Two new songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda enrich the score by an already illustrious list of songwriters: Craig Carnelia, Micki Grant, Mary Rodgers and Susan Birkenhead, and James Taylor.
