Every sequence unfolds a new delight, from slapstick action to nuanced characterization to the most hilarious rendition of Hamlet it has ever been my privilege to witness. Script, direction, casting, performance and tech are each remarkable renditions of their kind. The beautiful language is retained, but made perfectly clear by action and diction. Additionally, it's heartily funny.

RTT has announced the cast of the inaugural live concert tour ROCKTOPIA: A Classical (R)evolution.

The Catholic Library Association together with the Junior Library Guild established a grant in 2007 in memory of Sally Daly, SSJ, an ardent supporter of recruiting new members to CLA and its Children's Library Services Section. The purpose of the $1,500 grant is to enable a new member of CLA's Children's Library Services Section to attend CLA's annual convention, which in 2017, will take place in St. Louis, MO on April 18-20. Nominees were received by the CLA Scholarship Committee and Angie Bush, a librarian at St. Anne Catholic School in Bristol, VA has been named the 2017 grant recipient. Bush states, 'The CLA listserv, Catholic Library World, and my membership assist me in making lessons, purchases, and goals for my school library that are aligned with the Church's teaching and the consensus curriculum of the Richmond, VA Diocese.' Bush is a member of the Virginia Association of School Librarians, the Southwest Virginia State Reading Association, and serves on Virginia's Reader's Choice committee. She earned her Library Media Certification from the University of Virginia College at Wise in 2011. 'Sister Sally was a big proponent of Junior Library Guild for years-sharing her experiences with our company and our service with hundreds of her fellow Catholic educators. Creating this grant program was a natural and obvious way for us to honor her memory,' says Andrew Thorne, V.P., Marketing. Unison Media has announced Season 2 of its acclaimed concert series The Crypt Sessions, featuring intimate classical music and opera performances in the remarkable Crypt chapel underneath the Church of the Intercession in Harlem.

Beginning 10 May 2017, Gallerie dell'Accademia di Venezia will present the work of the pre-eminent American painter Philip Guston (1913 - 1980) in a major exhibition exploring the artist's oeuvre in relation to critical literary interpretation. In a spirit reflective of how Guston himself cultivated the sources of his inspiration, 'Philip Guston and The Poets' considers the ideas and writings of major 20th century poets as catalysts for his enigmatic pictures and visions. Featuring works that span a fifty-year period in Guston's artistic career, the exhibition includes 50 major paintings and 25 prominent drawings dating from 1930 until his death in 1980. The exhibition draws parallels between the essential humanist themes reflected in these works, and the language and prose of five poets: D. H. Lawrence (British, 1885 - 1930), W. B. Yeats (Irish, 1865 - 1939), Wallace Stevens (American, 1879 - 1955), Eugenio Montale (Italian, 1896 - 1981) and T. S. Eliot (American-born, British, 1888 - 1965).

According to Variety, during a panel on Broadway's THE LION KING, Julie Taymor was asked what film she wants to bring to the stage next. 'Across the Universe,' she said. 'It belongs onstage.'
