The New York Philharmonic will present A Dancer's Dream: Two Works by Stravinsky, a multidisciplinary, theatrical reimagining of the ballets The Fairy's Kiss and Petrushka, created by Giants Are Small. Sara Mearns, New York City Ballet principal dancer, will star in the production, which will be conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert, directed and designed by Doug Fitch, choreographed by Karole Armitage, and produced by Edouard Getaz - Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, June 28 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, June 29 at 8:00 p.m.

Red Bull Theater (Jesse Berger, Artistic Director) today announced that Derek Smith would join the cast for the American Premiere of a new adaptation of August Strindberg's The Dance of Death by Mike Poulton (Tony Award Nominee for Best Play for Fortune's Fool), directed by Joseph Hardy (Tony Award winner for Best Director for Child's Play). This strictly limited engagement begins Wednesday April 10th and continues through May 4th only, at the Lucille Lortel Theater (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets). Opening Night is set for Thursday April 18th. Hardy directs a company that features Daniel Davis, Laila Robins, and Derek Smith.

Following performances in the UK, Stockholm, and Vancouver, GOLD MOUNTAIN is coming home. Award-winning Montreal theatre company Les Deux Mondes will present the production at Théâtre Aux Ecuries from April 16 to 27. BroadwayWorld caught up with sound/multimedia designer Michel Robidoux to talk about his work, the company (for which Robidoux is the co-artistic director), and the creative process behind GOLD MOUNTAIN.

The Metropolitan Opera will commemorate the 200th anniversary of Richard Wagner's birth with three complete performances of his epic four-opera masterwork, Der Ring des Nibelungen. Krister Henriksson, who is best known as Wallander in Henning Mankell's widely praised Swedish TV series, makes his West End debut in Doktor Glas starting previews from 16 April at the Wyndham's Theatre. Originally performed at the National Theatre of Sweden, Doktor Glas is adapted from the classic novel by Hjalmar Soderberg and performed in its original Swedish with English surtitles. The production runs from 16 April until 11 May 2013.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents the U.S. premiere of Ingmar Bergman's Fanny and Alexander by the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, Sweden. An acclaimed stage adaptation of Ingmar Bergman's four-time Academy Award winning film, inspired in part by the influential Swedish filmmaker's own upbringing, Fanny and Alexander is directed by Stefan Larsson and runs March 7-9 in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater as part of Nordic Cool 2013. Press opening night is March 7 at 7:30 p.m.The production is performed in Swedish with English supertitles.

August Strindberg Repertory Theatre (www.strindberg.org), which was formed last year to illuminate Strindberg's plays for today's American audiences, will present Strindberg's 'Easter' (Pask, 1901) with an all-black cast, adapted and directed by Robert Greer, from March 8 to 31 at the Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street (East Village). The play has a similar complement of characters to Strindberg's 'Playing With Fire' (Leka med elden, 1893), with which the young company made an auspicious debut last Spring. Cast members from 'Playing With Fire' will be returning to play their corresponding roles in 'Easter.'

MEN WITHOUT HATS, the Canadian electronic rock group, best known for their iconic hit singles The Safety Dance and Pop Goes The Word, have confirmed a new concert in Stockholm on Valentine's Day (Feb 14th), as part of their first European Tour in 20 years.
