"The Foreigner," an inspired comic romp written by the late Larry Shue, opened the 2005-2006 theatre season at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. "The Foreigner," winner of two Obie Awards and two Outer Critics Circle Awards as Best New American Play and Best Off-Broadway Production, demonstrates what can happen when a group of devious characters in a small, rural fishing lodge, must deal with a stranger who they believe knows no English.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto has announced that due to unforeseen conflicts with Roger Rees' schedule, The Old Globe's upcoming production of What You Will has been replaced with Golda's Balcony starring four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh. Written by William Gibson and supervised by Scott Schwartz, Golda's Balcony earned Feldshuh a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress, and is the longest running one-woman show in Broadway history.
