Julie White to Host Page 73 Productions' Spring Benefit, 5/11

Tony Award-winner Julie White (THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED) is set to host the 2012 Page 73 Spring Benefit on Friday, May 11 at 7:00pm at City Winery (155 Varick Street) in Manhattan, it has been announced by Page 73's Executive Directors Liz Jones and Asher Richelli.

The Public's FEBRUARY HOUSE Begins Performances 5/8

The Public Theater will begin previews for the world premiere production of FEBRUARY HOUSE, with music and lyrics by Gabriel Kahane and book by Seth Bockley, on Tuesday, May 8 in The Public's Martinson Theater. Directed by Davis McCallum, FEBRUARY HOUSE runs through Sunday, June 10, with an official press opening on Tuesday, May 22. TCG to Publish the 2012 Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Quiara Alegría Hudes's WATER BY THE SPOONFUL

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) today announced the upcoming publication of Quiara Alegria Hudes's Water by the Spoonful, the 2012 winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play will be available from TCG Books on August 1, and will be quickly followed up with the release of Hudes's Elliot, A Soldier's Fugue on August 15. These are the second and first plays, respectively, of a trilogy by the award-winning playwright; the third installment, The Happiest Song Plays Last, will receive its world premiere in spring 2013 at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago and will be published by TCG later that year.

On Wednesday, April 25 at 8:00pm at MTC's Creative Center (311 W. 43rd Street, 8th Fl) will be Mr. Posner's THE THING ABOUT AIR TRAVEL, directed by Kerry Whigham, and on Monday, May 21 at 7:30pm and Tuesday, May 22 at 4pm at the Roundabout Rehearsal studio (32 E. 31st Street, 4th Fl) will be Mr. Posner's SNORE AND OTHER SORTS OF BREATHING, directed by Trip Cullman.

Eight conducting fellows from across the U.S. and Canada have been selected by the Carnegie Hall Choral Institute and the Young People's Chorus of New York City to take part in the Transient Glory Symposium, led by 2011 MacArthur Fellow and symposium artistic director Francisico J. Núñez, which from February 15 to 18, will provide three days of intensive training workshops and performances of new music commissioned for young voices for the Transient Glory series.

According to the New York Times, Playwrights Horizons will present FAR FROM HEAVEN, a new musical with book by Tony Award winner and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, Three Days of Rain), music by Tony Award nominee Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens) and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens, The Grapes of Wrath), in Spring 2013. The show will also play Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer. The musical was adapted from the acclaimed, award-winning 2002 Focus Features/Vulcan Productions motion picture Far From Heaven, written and directed by Todd Haynes.

This Off-Broadway limited engagement at WalkerSpace (46 Walker Street) begins Tuesday, September 20th and continues through Saturday, October 15th only. Opening Night is set for Wednesday, September 28th.
