MONSTER is a revelatory theatrical experience which peels back the layers of humanity to reveal what's at the core of human experience. The multi-character format intertwines 16 diverse characters surrounding a vengeful, blood-curdling, torturous murder. David Hirson was born in New York City and was educated at Yale and Oxford. He is the author of two plays for the theatre, La Bête (1991) and Wrong Mountain (2000), both of which have been produced on Broadway. He has received numerous honours for his work, including the 1992 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy. The original Broadway production of La Bête was nominated for five Tony awards in 1991. A collected edition of his plays is published by Grove Press. He is currently working on a new version of Die Fledermaus for the Metropolitan Opera.

Olivier and Tony Award-winning actor Mark Rylance joins the company of Simon McBurney's production of Endgame as Hamm, taking over the role from Richard Briers. Simon McBurney will now play the role of Clov for the duration of the run. Rylance and McBurney will be joined by Miriam Margolyes as previously announced, and Tom Hickey as Nagg. To facilitate the cast changes, the production will now open on 15 October, with previews from 2 October, and run until 5 December.
Producer Arielle Tepper Madover and the Donmar Warehouse are pleased to announce the complete Broadway cast for William Shakespeare's HAMLET, with Jude Law in the title role, directed by Michael Grandage. The production will begin performances at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street) on Saturday, September 12 for a strictly limited run of twelve weeks only. Opening night is Tuesday, October 6.
