WICA Announces 'RABBIT HOLE' Casting, Runs 4/10 - 4/25

Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, under the leadership of Executive Director Stacie Burgua, announces the cast of Rabbit Hole, by David Lindsay-Abaire. The production, directed by Chris Fisher, features Max Cole-Takanikos, Patricia Duff, Tom Harris, Jill Johnson, and Melissa McAlerney. Performances will begin at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts, 565 Camano Avenue, on Friday, April 10 and continue through Saturday, April 25.

Public Theater to Present FREE Reading of 'The Breach' on 9/22

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will present a one-night-only reading of THE BREACH, a new play by Catherine Filloux, Tarell Alvin McCraney, and Joe Sutton. THE BREACH will be performed at The Public Theater on Monday, September 22 at 7 p.m. The reading is free and open to the public.

2008 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize Awarded to Judith Thompson for "Palace of the End"

The 2008 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize has been awarded to Judith Thompson for her critically acclaimed play Palace of the End, marking the first time a Canadian writer has received the prestigious playwriting award's highest honor. Thompson received $20,000 and a signed and numbered print by artist Willem de Kooning at a special 30th Anniversary ceremony on Monday, March 10th at the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas where Ms. Blackburn first became involved in theatre.
