Pacific Northwest Ballet Artistic Director Peter Boal and corps de ballet dancer Jessika Anspach have announced that Ms. Anspach will retire at the end of PNB's 2015-2016 season. A true “PNB baby,” Ms. Anspach literally grew up dancing at PNB over 26 years, first in classes at PNB School and then with the Company. She took her first PNB School Creative Movement dance class at the age of five in 1990, joined the company as an apprentice in 2004 and was promoted to corps de ballet in 2005.

Due to popular demand, Chippendales has announced that 'Sharknado' and '90210' star Ian Ziering will return to its show at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas as as a celebrity guest star from June 12 through July 19, 2014. Since joining the acclaimed Las Vegas production of Chippendales last summer, Ziering's career has skyrocketed with hits such as the SyFy 'People's Choice' nominated cult-film, 'Sharknado' and, the forthcoming 'Sharknado 2' set for release in July 2014. Pacific Northwest Ballet Artistic Director Peter Boal has announced that after a 17-year career with the Company, principal dancer Kaori Nakamura will retire from performing at the end of PNB's 2013-2014 season. Ms. Nakamura joined PNB as a soloist in 1997 and was promoted to principal in 1998. Following her retirement, Ms. Nakamura will be joining the faculty of PNB School.

If you have lately driven down Washington Street in Monument, Colorado, you can't have failed to notice the construction of a significant cluster of buildings at 243 Washington Street that will be, in only a few months, the home of Catriona Cellars. The new winery, which is both the inspiration and lifelong dream of longtime Monument merchants Woody and Catherine Woodworth, will open its doors in early 2014. The Catriona Cellars complex will house a tasting room, a café that includes outdoor patio seating and a production facility.
Redmoon announces today Rebecca Rugg as Producer of the Great Chicago Fire Festival, a citywide event that will take place in neighborhoods throughout the summer in 2014, with the spectacle finale that October on the Chicago River. Before joining Redmoon, she worked as Artistic Producer at Steppenwolf Theater Company. She currently serves on the faculty of the Yale School of Drama and has served on the artistic staff at New York's Public Theater.
