Storm King Art Center Celebrates 50th Anniversary 6/5

Storm King Art Center, sculpture park, celebrates its fiftieth anniversary with two special exhibitions opening on Saturday, June 5. 5+5: New Perspectives, comprising 12 new and recent works by ten artists, and The View from Here: Storm King at Fifty explores key aspects of Storm King's rich and varied history. Storm King's 2010 season is April 1 through November 14: Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:30 pm (open until 8:00 pm on Saturdays, May 29-September 4; until 5:00 pm daily, November 3-14). Amy Ryan Joins HBO's 'In Treatment' for Third Season

Deadline.com reports that Amy Ryan has joined the cast of HBO's 'In Treatment' for its upcoming third season. She will be replacing Academy Award-winner Dianne Wiest as a new therapist for Dr. Paul Weston. A season premiere date has not been announced. Ryan was previously seen on HBO in 'The Wire.'

Two-time Golden Globe and three-time Emmy Award-winner Edie Falco and Tony nominee Alison Pill will star in the NAKED ANGELS-produced American premiere of This Wide Night, by Blackburn Prize-winning playwright Chloe Moss, directed by Anne Kauffman. Previews begin May 8, 2010 and the play will officially open at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre (416 West 42nd Street) on May 16, 2010. This Wide Night will run through June 20, 2010.

Variety reports today that THE MIRACLE WORKER star Alison Pill will Join stage and screen vet Edie Falco on stage off-Broadway in the Naked Angels' production of THIS WIDE NIGHT, by Chloe Moss. The production will feature direction by Anne Kauffman (Stunning, The Thugs) and is set to open sometime this spring at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Theatre Row. The production will begin previews on May 8 and open May 16. The Naked Angels Theatre Company is currently represented on Broadway with NEXT FALL, co-produced by Elton John and David Furnish.

The Public Theater & Signature Theatre to Premiere Tony Kushner's INTELLIGENT HOMOSEXUAL'S GUIDE in '11

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) and Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin) announced today that the New York premiere of Tony Kushner's THE INTELLIGENT HOMOSEXUAL'S GUIDE TO CAPITALISM AND SOCIALISM WITH A KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES will be presented in the 2010-2011 season in a co-production between The Public Theater and Signature Theatre Company, in association with the Guthrie Theater. Michael Greif, who directed the world premiere at the Guthrie in April, 2009, will direct the New York premiere, which will play March 22-June 12, 2011 at The Public Theater. Casting will be announced at a later date.
