Review - Bullet For Adolf: Summer Of My German Soldier

Once upon a summer of '83, a young aspiring actor named Woody Harrelson became close pals with a Harlem-raised fellow named Frankie Hyman while they both worked a construction job in Houston.  Eventually, they went their separate ways; one becoming famous for doing something other than playwriting and the other pursuing a career in writing, although these many years later he apparently hasn't written anything he would care to mention in a Playbill bio.

Proscenium Productions today announced it started pre-production of "Kennedy." It is a remake of the 1983 musical "One Shining Moment," to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Presidency of John F Kennedy.

Directed by Harrelson-Academy Award nominee for The Messenger and The People vs. Larry Flynt-the show begins performances on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street), with an official Opening Night set for Wednesday, August 8, 2012. The production is scheduled to play through Sunday, September 9, 2012. Bullet for Adolf, a new comedy by Woody Harrelson and Frankie Hyman, will receive its American premiere this summer. Directed by Harrelson (Academy Award® nominee - The Messenger, The People vs. Larry Flynt), performances will begin Thursday, July 19, 2012 at New World Stages in anticipation of an official opening on August 8, 2012. The 9/11 Peace Story Quilt, designed by the artist Faith Ringgold and created in collaboration with New York City students ages 8 to 19, will be exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from August 30, 2011 through January 22, 2012, in the Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education. The 9/11 Peace Story Quilt poignantly conveys the importance of respect, understanding, and communication across cultures and religions to achieve the goal of peace. Comprised of three 72-by-50 inch panels, each with 12 squares on the theme of peace, the quilt will be displayed alongside several of the students' original works of art that inspired its content, as well as related works made this summer by the Museum's high school interns.
