Acting royalty visits THEATER TALK this week, with the appearance of two British living legends, Dame Eileen Atkins and Sir Michael Gambon, currently in New York through December 8 with the first-ever theatrical staging of playwright Samuel Beckett's 1957 radio play, All That Fall. This episode of THEATER TALK, co-hosted Michael Riedel of the New York Post and producer Susan Haskins, premieres in the New York metropolitan area Friday, Nov. 29 (2013) at 1 AM (Saturday morning) on Thirteen/PBS, and continues on CUNY TV* Saturday at 8:30 PM, Sunday at 12:30 PM, and Monday at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM.

The Hartt School Community Division (HCD) announces that applications are now available for the 2013-2014 Young Composer's Project (YCP). Musicians in grades 7 through 12 who compose or are interested in composition are invited to apply. This after-school program meets once a week from November to May. It's one thing for a dancer over 40 to do a cabaret show. It's quite another for a dancer over 80 to attempt one. But that's exactly what still spry 83-year-old song and dance man George Marcy is going to do--tapping his way over to Don't Tell Mama for the second time in three years--when he takes the stage (today September 23 and 29, both at 8pm) for his new show, I Wish I Were Twins. Marcy's latest cabaret effort is being director by famed Broadway Musical star and Marcy's good friend Carol Lawrence. The Musical Director/Pianist is Christine Sutin, with Boots Maleson on bass, and AaRon Russell on drums.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the details for the 2013 NYFF Convergence, which will run on Saturday, September 28 through Monday, September 30. Building on the success of last year's debut, the second edition of the crowning event for the Film Society of Lincoln Center's year round programming commitment to transmedia will be presented at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center and the Walter Reade Theater with three days of panels, workshops and “immersive experiences.” This year's edition will also feature a special secret event to close out NYFF Convergence that will be announced at a later date.
