ENCORE is set to debut Original award-winning series 'The Crimson Petal and The White,' a four part miniseries adapted from Michel Faber's Bestselling novel (2002).Part one and two of the sweeping and gritty epic will air exclusively on ENCORE Friday, March 6th beginning at 9 PM et/pt, with its concluding parts three and four airing Saturday, March 7th at 9 PM et/pt.

Hugh Jackman will return to Broadway during the 2013/2014 season starring as America's greatest showman in HOUDINI, an original musical. Making his Broadway debut as librettist, Academy Award and six-time Emmy Award winner Aaron Sorkin will collaborate with three-time Academy Award and four-time Grammy Award winner Stephen Schwartz. Directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien, HOUDINI is presented by film and theatre producer Scott Sanders and David Rockwell. Mr. Rockwell will also design the sets for HOUDINI. Additional HOUDINI casting, creative team and design team to be announced at a later date.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the musical THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, Andrew Lloyd Webber will introduce a unique performance of the title number from the musical at this year's Royal Variety Performance. Starring four acclaimed 'Phantoms' - Simon Bowman, Earl Carpenter, Ramin Karimloo and John Owen-Jones, the performance will also feature international pop-star Nicole Scherzinger as 'Christine'.

The evening, hosted by Award-winning comedian (and Williamstown veteran) Lewis Black, will feature former WTF alumni Tony Goldwyn (Promises, Promises; 1981 Non-Equity Company), Kathryn Hahn (Revolutionary Road, 1997 Non-Equity Company) and Constantine Maroulis ('American Idol,' 2002 WTF Apprentice), performing with members of the 2011 Apprentice and Non-Equity companies.

Currently starring alongside Norm Lewis in A.R.T.'s PORGY AND BESS, the Broadway-bound singer will make a stop at Carnegie Hall as a part of her 20-city concert tour across North America. McDonald will present her trademark mix of show tunes, classic songs from movies, and pieces written expressly for her by leading contemporary composers.

As a musician, James has worked with many Brisbane bands (including Chalk, Saturn South, Tylea & The Imaginary Music Score and Speed Of Purple) as well as producing experimental cabaret & performance events. Together, they have produced performance & music for Brisbane Pride Festival & Brisbane Cabaret Festival.

The concert will feature Babbitt's SwanSong No. 1, world premieres and a recent piece by four generations of Babbitt protégés, each 15 to 20 years apart in age: Peter Westergaard, Frank Brickle, Jonathan Dawe and David Fulmer. Sopranos Elizabeth Farnum and Tony Arnold will be the featured guest artists. Cygnus had planned this as a 95th birthday concert for Milton since the fall of 2009. While sadly the concert has become a memorial event rather than a birthday celebration, Cygnus shall convey the continuing vitality and relevance of Babbitt's work as we move into the heart of the 21st Century. Babbitt's legacy as composer and educator endures, eliciting undaunted courage and creativity amongst his students and emboldening them to passion and excellence in their pursuits. Milton Babbitt and the 21st Century complements two earlier Cygnus presentations that focused on Babbitt, concerts honoring his 80th and 90th birthdays. His 90th celebration was held at Merkin Hall and was entitled Milton Babbitt at the Crux of the 20th Century, including earlier Babbitt works, from the 1940s.
