Tampa Repertory Theatre will inaugurate its ninth season with the Pulitzer-winning comedy-drama Dinner with Friends by Donald Margulies.

The Barn Theatre brings you the ultimate feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! Over sixty million people around the globe have fallen in love with the story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless hit songs propelling this funny, enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship.

The cast of 'ANNE FRANK, a musical', based on Anne Frank's life will feature 12 artists on stage to recreate Anne Frank's life filled with the touching music and lyrics written by Jean Pierre Hadida. This production marks the U.S Off-Broadway Premiere of this successful French musical which will be performed for the first time in English (adapted by Dylan Hadida). Directed and produced by David Serero, this new Off-Broadway production will take place at the Center for Jewish History (15 West 16th Street New York 10016), originally produced by Francine Disegni for Broadway Mad Production, Simon & Michal Kalfon.

Today, April 15 (3pm EST), Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy will announce the winners of the the 2019 Pulitzer Prizes, including the finalists and winners for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Jackie Sibblies Drury's Fairview has officially won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Crafting a musical theater hit is a lot like alchemy - the ancient study focused primarily on creating gold from baser elements - and oftentimes no matter the ingredients, directors never quite achieve the outcome for which they strive. But in the case of director/choreographer Everett Tarlton's production of Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate (now onstage at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre through March 7), he has crafted something so special that it essentially defines the theatrical gold standard.

LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE presents the fourth show in its 98th season, four-time Emmy winner Michael Learned ('The Waltons') and Lance E. Nichols (HBO's 'Treme') staring in the Pulitzer Prize award-winning play, DRIVING MISS DAISY, written by Alfred Uhry and directed by Michael Bloom.  Executive Director Ellen Richard comments, 'We are thrilled to bring in 2019 with this powerful and still vitally important play.' Adds Artistic Director Ann E. Wareham, 'Michael Learned and Lance E. Nichols will ignite the stage with their critically acclaimed powerful portrayals of these iconic characters. The Welk Resort Theatre's production of Mamma Mia is a cheerful high energy entertainment, a worthy example of why the musical has been a favorite of many dozens of production companies around the world since its 1999 London premiere. The story is set on the Greek island of Kalokairi where we learn that Sophie, a 20-year-old bride-to-be, doesn't know who her father is. She's secretly read in her mother Donna's diary that it must be one of three men Donna had brief affairs with 20 years ago. Determined to find out which one it is, Sophie has invited them to her wedding without telling her mother.

Michael Feinstein and the Pasadena POPS close out their popular outdoor summer concert series at the Los Angeles County Arboretum on Saturday, September 8 with Broadway Goes to the Movies. The POPS season finale will provide a quintessential Feinstein experience with some of Broadway's greatest performers recreating songs from hit shows that traveled from 42nd St. to Hollywood. "This program is going to celebrate all the different musical aspects of Broadway and Hollywood," says Feinstein, who has put together a program spanning the Broadway canon from My Fair Lady to The Sound of Music to Jersey Boys. Highlights include "The Impossible Dream," "Can't Take My Eyes off of You," and "There's No Business Like Show Business," among many other beloved showtunes.

The Cape Playhouse very proudly presents, Sylvia, the acclaimed comedy by two-time Pulitzer Prize-nominee A.R. Gurney. Starring Playhouse favorite Jennifer Cody, Michele Pawk, John Dossett, and Stephen Derosa, and directed by Matt Lenz, Sylvia runs June 26-July 7, 2018.

Principal Pops Conductor Michael Feinstein opens the 2018 Pasadena POPS Sierra Summer Concert Series on Saturday, June 23rd with That's Entertainment: Gershwin to Sondheim. The POPS season opener will cover the gamut of the Great American Songbook from jazz standards to Broadway hits, and vintage charts that can't be heard anywhere else. Hear your Broadway favorites from Porgy and Bess and An American in Paris to Company and Follies, plus popular standards and vintage archival surprises with Nice Work if You Can Get It, S'Wonderful, and Being Alive just to name a few.

The League of Chicago Theatres held the 2018 Annual Gala, an elegant event that brings together friends of Chicago theatre to raise funds for programs to support Chicagoland's more than 250-member theatre companies. The event, which had 245 attendees and raised $125,000, was held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, 120 E. Delaware Place. 

Merce Cunningham is widely considered one of the most important choreographers of all time. Throughout his 70-year career, he continued to innovate, helping to drive the evolution of the American avant-garde and expanding the frontiers of contemporary visual and performance arts.

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Martyna Majok's COST OF LIVING has officially won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

In a production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, the long-overdue rediscovery of the seminal feminist play by Sarah Daniels, Masterpieces opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four-week limited season on Tuesday, 24 April 2018 (Press Nights: Thursday, 26 April and Friday, 27 April 2018 at 7.30pm).

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra hosts its 2018 Spring into Music Gala on Saturday, April 14, at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. Tony Award-winning Broadway, film and television star Jason Alexander-world renowned as the iconic George Costanza on "Seinfeld"-headlines a performance of song and comedy at an event that includes cocktails, dinner and a silent auction. The gala's honoree is Merck & Co., Inc., Chairman of the Board and CEO Kenneth C. Frazier.

Today the Franco-American Cultural Fund have announced that Mélanie Laurent will be honored as their “Focus on a Filmmaker” at the COLCOA French Film Festival.  Additionally, they have announced the five films that comprise the “COLCOA Classic Series.” These selections will be presented as part of COLCOA's 22nd edition, which will run Monday, April 23 through Monday, April 30, with all screenings taking place at the Directors Guild of America.   All films in the COLCOA Classics are free to the public. The complete line-up including films and series competing for the COLCOA Awards 2018 will be announced on April 3rd.
