First-time author J.P. Reese offers readers a gripping and potent journey of success, failure, devotion, and intrigue in 'Everything Made Perfect,' a novel that dissects the inner workings of true love gone sour when memories fade and malice rises to the forefront. Reese explores the social and mental changes that affect a later-in-life marriage between two creative but ultimately dissatisfied Midwest retirees and their families. Unlike most books dealing with a character's descent into the shadowlands of Alzheimer's disease, 'Everything Made Perfect' sheds light on an ugly reality: Not all caretakers choose to actually care for the afflicted, and sometimes the patient can exact vengeance on the strong. Characters come to life as weaknesses and motives are revealed, because in the Frank and Christine Grimes' household, nothing is ever as it seems.
