This production will be the 111th live stage production presented at Broadway Onstage Live Theatre. Eugenia Gingold, Carole King's Mother, Dies at 94

According to the Miami Herald, Eugenia Gingold, the mother of famous singer-songwriter Carole King, died of congestive heart failure on Dec. 22 in the Hospice Care unit at Delray Medical Center, Delray Beach, her daughter said. Gingold, a South Florida resident since the mid-1970s and an Actor's Equity member, was 94. (more...)

Ten Chimneys Announces Lunt-Fontanne Fellows

On December 6, 2010 (on what would have been Lynn Fontanne's 123rd birthday), Ten Chimneys Foundation announced that ten of the top stage actors in America have been selected as the 2011 Lunt-Fontanne Fellows. These ten distinguished actors (see list below) were nominated by the nation's premier regional theatres to participate in the Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship Program, a widely acclaimed national program to serve the future of American theatre. Next summer (July 24-31, 2011), the newly selected Lunt-Fontanne Fellows will join Academy Award-winning actress Olympia Dukakis for an intensive weeklong master class and immersion experience at Ten Chimneys, the National Historic Landmark estate of Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, in Genesee Depot, Wisconsin (just outside of Milwaukee). 'The Killing Of Sister George' Award Winning Play At Rising Action Theatre

'The Killing of Sister George' shocked and delighted audiences in London in 1964 and then again in 1966 on Broadway as one of the first plays about a lesbian couple. It was subsequently made into a film 'The Killing of Sister George' in 1968 and Beryl Reid was nominated for an Academy Award for her portayal of Sister George.
