Arcola Theatre in association with Maya Ellis today announce the full cast for the world premiere of Gabriel Gbadamosi's Stop and Search. Artistic Director of the Arcola Mehmet Ergen directs Munashe Chirisa (Akim), Tyler Luke Cunningham (Lee), David Kirkbride (Tone), Shaun Mason (Tel) and Jessye Romeo (Bev). The production opens on 14 January, with previews from 9 January, and runs until 9 February.

The Growing Stage, The Children's Theatre of New Jersey kicks off the holiday season with its original musical production of 'Babes in Toyland' from November 23 to December 16.The show was conceived by the company's Founder and Executive Director, Stephen L. Fredericks. TGS Artist-in-Residence, Perry Arthur Kroeger wrote the adaptation and song lyrics that are set to Victor Hugo's music. It is directed by Lori B. Lawrence, with musical direction by Stephen Fox, and choreography by Jillian Petrie.

Washington Ensemble Theatre has announced the cast for the Seattle premiere of Feathers and Teeth, the twisted horror comedy by Charise Castro Smith that grapples with the power of grief and the dangers of the other side. Dr. Jarod Simon, an Atlanta chiropractor at Century Center Chiropractor, made his Stage Door Players debut in the live play, 'The Last Night of Ballyhoo.' The play won a Pulitzer Prize in 1997 and also a Tony Award for best play. 'The Last Night of Ballyhoo" is considered a serious comedy set in Atlanta during December 1939, shortly after Hitler invaded Poland. The live production ran through February 17, 2019. Dr. Simon's acting experience spans 25 years with his most recent appearance in the Aurora Theatre production of 'Driving Miss Daisy.' Dr. Simon has also appeared in many Atlanta theaters including Jewish Theater of the South, Theatre in the Square, Horizon Theatre, and Neighborhood Playhouse. Originally from New York, he also appeared in the New York Broadway production of 'An Enemy of the People.' Dr. Simon's television credits include 'Black Lightning' and 'Brockmire.'
