L.A. Theatre Works Announces Its 2018-19 Season

L.A. Theatre Works has announced its 2018-19 season of seven plays, each to be recorded in front of a live audience for future radio broadcast and online distribution. All performances take place at the James Bridges Theater, located on the campus of UCLA in West Los Angeles. In addition, the company will introduce audiences to its signature style of radio theater at venues across the country during its 15th national tour.

Chamber Music Society Of Detroit Celebrates 75th Anniversary Opening Night

The Chamber Music Society of Detroit will open its 75th anniversary opening night concert on Saturday, September 15 with the Montrose Trio performing Tchaikovsky's epic Piano Trio in A minor, the same piece that was performed at the Society's very first concert in 1945.  The program also includes Mendelssohn's Piano Trio No. 2 in C minor, Op. 66.  An exhibit of memorabilia from the CMSD's 75-year history will be on display in the lobby for the evening.  The concert is sponsored by Greenleaf Trust.

The Chamber Music Society of Detroit's 75th anniversary season will celebrate its history with special concerts in venues that were home to its series over the years, including Orchestra Hall and the DIA, while expanding its reach with a new Regional Partnership series offering four weekends of performances in Grosse Pointe, Canton and Rochester Hills. The stellar line-up of world renowned artists and ensembles across four series includes pianists Leon Fleisher, Olga Kern and Richard Goode, London's Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, and the Juilliard, Pacifica, Dover and Miro Quartets, among others.

World of Tanks and HISTORY Partner to Commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Kursk

To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Kursk, World of Tanks has partnered with HISTORY to recreate portions of one of the greatest tank battles in history using augmented reality. Richard Cutland, Wargaming's Head of Military Relations, will narrate the “The Tanks of Kursk” in a series of videos where viewers can watch German and Soviet tanks refight the battle in tabletop volumetric augmented reality, using the World of Tanks game engine. World of Tanks is a free-to-play online game, and a virtual museum in which players can explore exacting recreations of all of the tanks of WW2.

Since 2015, DOVE Chocolate has supported the development of small female-driven enterprises in cocoa farming communities using CARE Village Savings & Loan Associations (VSLA) methodology. Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) today announced additional details of its 2018-2019 season-the Orchestra's 44th-including its signature Chamber Music Series, Music in Color, and Free School Concerts celebrating the Jerome Robbins centenary. The previously announced 32nd-annual subscription series presented by Carnegie Hall opening on October 25 will mark the official start of Bernard Labadie's tenure as Principal Conductor of the Orchestra.
