Rising R&B artist La Hara - better known as influencer Bri Hall - has unleashed her latest offering 'Hereafter' along with the official video showcasing the stages of grief upon the loss of a loved one. In their exclusive of the video over the weekend, HollywoodLife praised Hall and her new release: 'A haunting slice of music that melds dream-pop with the beat of a broken heart, 'Hereafter' resonates long after the song ends. La Hara has deftly crafted a song that mirrors the anguish of grief: layered vocals that rush in like a flooding sadness; sparse moments that capture the isolating pain that comes with loss; and a hazy production reminiscent of the haze one feels when realizing someone you love is no longer there to text you back. The video features La Hara going through all the stages of grief until that final moment of acceptance offers a semblance of closure. It's a powerful video for a song with a powerful message.'

Perhaps the most interesting work is that which can't be easily categorised; which seems to drift in on its own breeze, distinct and compelling. Ryan Von Gonten's new album is certainly one such thing, calmly moving between genres and influences with such ease and consideration you barely even notice the change. Featuring eight wonderfully-detailed songs, Truthlikeness is a remarkably assured debut, equally comparable to the likes of Beach House and Youth Lagoon as it is Neil Young and Cocteau Twins.

Tucson psych-rock purveyors Mute Swan have been releasing swirling, dreamy jams since 2014, and today the band is releasing their latest with Post-Punk. The hazy “Enough Fun” video follows a ragtag band of American one-percenters cruising in the Mercedes, burning money with a pope-like figure, looking as if it could be the result of the eccentrics of The Garden making a video for Galaxie 500 and leaving the VHS out to melt in the desert sun. Although sonically light and airy, the lyrics allude to frustration with the unchecked power of today's wealthy elite. Explains vocalist Mike Barnett, 'America is having a melt down right now. This song is about that. With fuzz.' It's a taste of the underground DIY oasis blooming in the Sonoran Desert, a longtime source of inspiration and refuge for the art community.

In anticipation of the upcoming release the album is streaming in full at The Big Takeover. About the album The Big Takeover says, 'Spacey but not alienating, loud yet still light, painting expansive and vivid vistas of sound against a sweepingly dynamic and melodic backdrop, Moving Panoramas make captivating dream rock from Austin, Texas...Sky-wide sonics, propulsive tempos, kinetic rhythms, sweet, heathery vocals, and a shadowy Western plains atmosphere move through the LP. The instrumentation creates a rich and textured picture that is accentuated by the warm and beguiling vocals.' Additonally Moving Panoramas' Leslie Sisson spoke with The Austin Chronicle about the trauma and tragedy that that inspired many of the songs featured on In Two. Read the full article HERE.
