Women's Project, the 32-year-old non-profit theater dedicated to producing plays written and directed by women, will increase main stage production next season by 50%. The theater's board of directors authorized Julie Crosby, producing artistic director, to increase main stage productions from two to three at the company's Julia Miles Theater on West 55th Street.
Crown Center announces its schedule of events from July 2009 through August 2010. Located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, Crown Center is often called a city within a city.

Facing East by Carol Lynn Pearson is the powerful and poignant story of a Mormon couple dealing with the suicide of their gay son. 2nd Story Theatre announces two classic Pulitzer Prize-winning comedies for its 2009 summer series, from July 8 - September 6. The snappy 'You Can't Take It with You' by Kaufman and Hart breaks out on July 8 and runs through August 2, followed by the magical 'Harvey' by Mary Chase, from August 12 through September 6.
