Miracles, wild women, beautiful music and lots of laughs will entertain and enlighten audiences during the upcoming 2009 season at Penguin Rep Theatre in Stony Point, New York. The nonprofit professional theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Joe Brancato and Executive Director Andrew M. Alone Together tells the story of George and Helene Butler, and it unfolds hilariously as they send their third and final son off to college. Now that they're alone, they'll finally be able to live their dreams? Take up painting, exotic vacations or maybe even make love by the fire. But those plans are quickly interrupted as not one, but all three of their sons come home unannounced.

When a writer has done the number of celebrity interviews that I have, he realizes that there are a handful of celebrities he would never want to meet again. Most, however, are genuinely nice people and enjoyable to work with. There are others who become friends-true and genuine friends. Such is the relationship that has developed between me and Nick Spangler who is currently starring as Matt in the lovely revival of The Fantasticks which is enjoying a healthy run Off Broadway.
Florida Rep's Education Department offers theatre classes in the fall, winter and spring that are open to community members of all ages. These classes allow Florida Rep professionals to share their wealth of experience with those who are eager to learn more about theatre. Areas of study include, but are not limited to: improvisation, theatre games, movement, acting for youth, acting for adults and stage makeup. Specialized classes are also offered for home school families as well as parent organizations and playgroups.
