Florida Repertory Theatre highlights four of the most exclusive auction items up for bid in its annual fund raiser, the James Bond themed, March 28 event, The Art of Bond.

Held at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in the Fort Myers River District, the centerpiece of the event is an extensive live & silent auction that features some of the finest goods on the Gulf Coast.

New for this season's Fund Raising Gala, is the Buy It Now Option, and that means that the bidding is now open on four of the auction's most extravagant items. The Art of Bond draws its inspiration from the iconic style of the classic James Bond films, and will feature all the glamour, intrigue and mystery of the world's most famous secret agent. Guests are encouraged to arrive in costume, whether as Bond himself, one of his many scintillating Bond Girls, or as one of his malevolent enemies.

"It is going to be the fund raising event of the season," said Jane Lane, Event Chair. "Last season's Roman Forum was a record breaking success, and this season we plan to outdo ourselves."

The Art of Bond will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 6:30pm at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in the Fort Myers River District, adjacent to the Arcade Theatre. A table for ten at the event is $1,500 and $150 for individuals. Tables and tickets are on sale now through the Florida Rep box office at 239-332-4488.
