Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss today announced the schedule for Lincoln Center's seventh White Light Festival, running from October 16 through November 16, 2016. The international multidisciplinary festival, which takes its name from a quotation by the Estonian composer Arvo Part, is an annual exploration of the power of art to illuminate our interior and communal lives. 'I could compare my music to white light which contains all colors. Only a prism can divide the colors and make them appear; this prism could be the spirit of the listener.' - Arvo Part

The 70th Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 12th at 8/9c hosted by James Corden. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. A re-imagined version of the 1921 musical SHUFFLE ALONG, one of the earliest stage hits starring, written and directed by African-Americans, opens tonight, April 28, on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre. SHUFFLE ALONG has a new book and is directed by George C. Wolfe, choreographed by Savion Glover. 'The New World Symphony: Dvorak in America' is a puppet and object theater work examining the influence of African-American and Native American music upon the great 19th-century Czech composer Antonin Dvorak (1841-1904). The piece is written and directed by Vit Horejš and performed by Czechoslovak American Marionette Theatre. It traces how Dvorak helped America accept its beautiful multicultural musical traditions by his enthusiasm for African-American and Native American music during his short but influential time in the USA. La MaMa Theatre will present the play's world premiere run March 10 to 27, 2016 in its Ellen Stewart Theatre, 66 East 4th Street (East Village). Composer and Musical Director is saxophonist James Brandon Lewis.

La MaMa presents PYLADE -- a play by the late, celebrated Italian film director Pier Paolo Pasolini -- in its U.S. premiere 40 years after the author's murder. The production directed by Ivica Buljan, director of the Croatian National Theatre, begins performances beginning tonight, December 3 at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.) with the press opening set for December 6, it has been announced by Mia Yoo, La MaMa's Artistic Director.

One of the hit shows from this year's Hayes Theatre Co Cabaret season is returning in 2016. Well known cabaret artist Phil Scott teamed up with director Terence O'Connell to create Reviewing The Situation, a celebration of the life of Lionel Bart.

BroadwayWorld has just received the news that the 1992 Olivier Award winning play THE RISE AND FALL OF LITTLE VOICE is eyeing a 2016-17 Broadway run, starring two-time Drama Desk nominated actress, singer and impressionist Christina Bianco in the pivotal role of LV.

59E59 Theaters will welcome the return of Fishamble: The New Play Company (Dublin, Ireland) with the US premiere of LITTLE THING, BIG THING written by Donal O'Kelly and directed by Jim Culleton.
