Today, Los Angeles-based artist SASAMI has announced her self-titled debut album with the release of a video for its lead single, 'Jealousy.'  NPR, who premiered the video today, is calling it 'stunning... her debut, self-titled album as SASAMI is impressive: finely crafted and introspective, elegant and bruised,' while Stereogum, who profiled SASAMI and named her an Artist To Watch, is saying 'it pushes back against the apprehension that arises when someone previously only in the background steps into the spotlight.'

Rock icon Buster Poindexter returns to Cafe Carlyle, April 2-13. As a founding member of the New York Dolls and in a prolific solo career, David Johansen has been a seminal force in rock and roll, influencing countless singers and bands to this day. Buster Poindexter, Johansen's celebrated alter ego showcases his elegant crooning through R&B ballads. As Poindexter, his previous engagements have been sellouts and he has become one of the most revered artists to grace Cafe Carlyle.

Eight remaining couples dance to some of the biggest country music songs during "Country Night" on "Dancing with the Stars," live on MONDAY, NOV. 5 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

The Ballet Hispanico School of Dance offers adult dance and fitness classes that will keep you moving, fit, and energized. Classes are open to dancers of all levels ages 16 and up (no previous dance experience required). Cost: $20 drop-in class, $90 for 5-class card, $170 for a 10-class card. GRAHAM IS BACK with a jam-packed season premiere! BBC AMERICA has released preview clips for The Graham Norton Show, airing the season's first new episode on Friday, October 5 at 11/10c.

Quill and Quaver Associates P/L will present industry readings of The Stranger From Seville - A New Musical, based on The Mapmaker's Opera by Bea Gonzalez, with music by Kevin Purcell and book & lyrics by Victor Kazan.  Directed by Martin Platt, with music direction by Matt Castle and orchestrations by Mark Buys, the readings will be held on Today, September 25.  

The 25th annual Lotus World Music & Arts Festival will fill the streets of downtown Bloomington, Indiana with sights and sounds from around the globe (September 27-30, 2018).  Thirty international artists, free large-scale art installations, and events for all ages will fill 14 downtown Bloomington venues with palpable energy and an eclectic blend of global sound and spectacle. Venues range in style from the historic Buskirk-Chumley Theater, to contemplative church settings, to pavement-quaking outdoor dance tents and even a pop-up 360° video-immersion space. Last Friday, Ryan Culwell released his new album The Last American via Missing Piece Records. In celebration of the new release, Culwell will showcase at AmericanaFest 2018 in Nashville, TN and will support Will Hoge and Patrick Sweany on tour this fall. Find a full list of tour dates below.

The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural institution, today announced Crossing The Line Festival 2018, featuring leading international artists in a wide-ranging program of events, performances, and exhibitions from September 18 to October 13, 2018. JD Eicher, the Youngstown, Ohio-born and bred pop-rock musician/singer/songwriter, is set to release a new single, “Ain't My Scene,” on August 3, 2018 via AWAL/Kobalt. The track, which will be available through digital sales portals as well as Spotify, is the first single from a four-song EP from Eicher that will be released in early 2019 (details coming soon). Eicher paired up with producer Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson, Dashboard Confessional, Joshua Radin) for this outing, after self-producing his most recent releases in his home studio. Following long-distance pre-production, Eicher traveled to Los Angeles to record with Lefler in the spring of 2018, where the four tracks for the EP, including “Ain't My Scene,” were laid down.

The richly atmospheric music of guitarist Ottmar Liebert and his multi-instrumental band, Luna Negra (Dark Moon), is described as Spanish gypsy with contemporary grooves.  Its the perfect music for a hot summer's night at the Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts, where Liebert and his band will be performing at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 3.  Excellent seats are available for $39-$59.
