A positive tale of perseverance and passion, Standing Ovation arrives in theaters on July 16, 2010, featuring 20 original songs and 13 never-before-seen dance numbers that showcase a cast of talented young newcomers as they learn the importance of loyalty, friendship and family on a journey to fulfilling their dreams. Featuring actors, singers, songwriters, dancers, gymnasts and musicians from Philadelphia, Atlantic City and the surrounding areas, Standing Ovation reveals the undiscovered talent and drive of the East Coast's youth. 'Blood Brothers' Comes to Whitefire Theatre Starting 10/18

A multi-ethnic cast highlights stinging themes of class and poverty when Whitefire artistic director Bryan Rasmussen directs Blood Brothers, the Olivier Award-winning, Tony-nominated musical drama by Willy Russell (Educating Rita, Shirley Valentine). The tragic musical tale opens at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks on October 18 for a six-week run through November 23.
Mary-Louise Parker to Star in Roundabout's Hedda Gabler in '09

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) announced today that Tony® award winner Mary-Louise Parker will star in a new Broadway production of Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen. The production features a new adaptation by Christopher Shinn and will be directed by Ian Rickson. Hedda Gabler will begin previews on Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 and open officially on Sunday, January 25th, 2009 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). This will be a limited engagement.

Stage and screen actress Sandy Duncan will 'coax the blues right out of the horn,' as she makes her Barrington Stage debut as the glamorous Mame Dennis in a semi-staged concert version of Jerry Herman's legendary musical 'Mame,' directed by Julianne Boyd. BSC's first fall production in its new home in Pittsfield, at 30 Union Street, will run for two weeks from October 4 through 15.
