PTP/NYC, in association with Middlebury College, presents its 27th repertory season, its 7th consecutive in New York, running from now through August 4, 2013 in a limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Atlantic Stage 2, located at 330 West 16th Street between 8th & 9th Avenues in New York City. This season's line-up includes the New York Premiere of Howard Barker's The Castle, starring five-time Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Jan Maxwell in her 5th collaboration with PTP, directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Richard Romagnoli. Theatre at breakfast is once again on the menu this Festival. Back by popular demand are two acclaimed Traverse Theatre Company productions which were developed from script-in-hand readings last year as part of the Herald Angel award-winning Dream Plays series. The shows will run Tuesday 13 - Sunday 25 August 2013.

Hamilton Clancy, Artistic Director of The Drilling Company, chose 'Cymbeline' as the opening show of the 2013 season of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot because it portrays a divided world that is magically healed. The play is a hopeful fable to invoke at a time when the world seems so irrevocably torn, with our own country so polarized and the Middle East ripping itself apart in hopeless religious conflicts. Performances will be today, July 11 to 27 in the Municipal Parking Lot at the corner of Ludlow and Broome Streets.

The work of Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, better known to us as Moliere, returns to the Rose Footprint Theatre (the Company produced Tartuffe on the Footprint last season) with a new adaptation of one of his sauciest plays, Les Faux Pas: or The Counter Plots. Director Jenna Ware, who also adapted the piece, pulls out all of the stops with this riotously funny play. Featuring a cast of 11 new-comers and Company favorites Jenne Jadow and Dana Harrison Les Faux Pas: or The Counter Plots kicks off the Bankside Festival. Press Opening is tonight, July 6 at 5:30PM.

One of Greater Boston's most beloved traditions, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's 'Free Shakespeare On The Common' celebrates its 18th season with the comedy The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Inspired by Rat Pack-era Vegas, this production brings together the talents of CSC's Artistic Director Steve Maler, music director Colin Thurmond and choreographer Yo-el Cassel. Playing today, July 6 - 28, 2013.

Professional theaters from across Michigan will share the spotlight August 19 when The 2013 Wilde Awards are presented at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts in the Detroit suburb of West Bloomfield. To commemorate the bones of Richard III being found in an English parking lot, The Drilling Company will present Shakespeare's tragedy of the crook-back king August 1 to 17 in the Municipal Parking Lot at the corner of Ludlow and Broome Streets as the concluding production of the 2013 season of Shakespeare in the Parking Lot. Hamilton Clancy, Artistic Director, will direct and Alessandro Colla will be featured as the king.

Closing out its 25th Anniversary Season, Lookingglass Theatre Company presents the World Premiere of Big Lake Big City, written by Keith Huff and directed by Ensemble Member David Schwimmer. Connecticut's premier outdoor Shakespeare will present As You Like It, tonight, June 13-30, 2013. The show is one of Shakespeare's most beloved and pastoral comedies. Claire Shannon Kelly, currently the Director of Youth Programming for Shakespeare on the Sound and the director of the company's touring educational program, 'Speaking Daggers,' will direct. Kelly previously worked at the Ordway Theater, the Guthrie Theater, the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and the George Street Playhouse. She is a resident of New Canaan.

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) announced today that it is collaborating with Picturehouse Entertainment on 'Live from Stratford-upon-Avon', a new programme to screen its productions live from Shakespeare's home town, and will work with Ravensbourne College to stream the production straight to UK schools.
