Broadway in Cincinnati Adds THE BOOK OF MORMON and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST to Season

Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati presented by TriHealth announces by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON, which played a record breaking three week run in 2014 returns to Cincinnati for a limited engagement March 29 - April 3, 2016 and the smash hit Broadway musical, DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will play a strictly limited engagement April 20 - 24, 2016. Ticket package holders receive priority ticket opportunities to all shows, so a season package is the best way to guarantee seats to THE BOOK OF MORMON and DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. N.C. Symphony Performs POPS GOES VEGAS This Weekend

The North Carolina Symphony will pay tribute to iconic music and lavish shows in the finale of its 2014-15 Pops series, Pops Goes Vegas, tonight, May 15, and Saturday, May 16, at 8 p.m. in Meymandi Concert Hall in downtown Raleigh. The concert program, which features such classic numbers as 'Luck Be A Lady,' 'Hey, Big Spender,' 'Viva Las Vegas,' 'My Way,' and 'Fly Me to the Moon,' will be led by conductor Jack Everly, and will feature Martin Preston as Liberace, vocalists Scott Beck, Allison Briner, and Ted Keegan, and lead dancers Anne Nicole Beck and Jen Ladner.

JOHN & JEN Cast Album Release Concert Set for 54 Below, 6/6

Andrew Lippa along with Kate Baldwin and Conor Ryan, the stars of the recent acclaimed Keen Company production of John & Jen, the musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and a book by Greenwald and Lippa, will head over to 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Saturday June 6th, to celebrate the upcoming release of the 2015 Off-Broadway Cast Recording for Broadway Records.  A June 16th release is planned. Andrew Lippa and Michael Croiter produced the album. Musical Director is Lily Lang.  This recording will include the premiere of the new song, "Trouble with Men,' as well as new orchestrations and two songs from the score never before recorded.

Kate Baldwin and Conor Ryan, the stars of the Keen Company production of John & Jen, the musical with music by Andrew Lippa, lyrics by Tom Greenwald, and a book by Greenwald and Lippa, will head over to the recording studio on April 6th, to preserve the 2015 Off-Broadway Cast Recording for Broadway Records. A June 16th release is planned. Andrew Lippa and Michael Croiter will produce the album. Musical Director is Lily Lang. When Cole Porter wrote, 'Anything Goes,' he could have easily been referring to New York cabaret circa the 2000-sies. One of the joys of attending and reviewing cabaret shows in the Big Apple these days is that every performing style, show theme, cultural perspective, political point of view, race, gender, and sexual preference is represented on a stage. Some cabaret purists may not agree, but the genre seems to have no boundaries in terms of what is acceptable and what is not. And as long as a show is entertaining, who cares about boundaries and strict definitions of what works in the art form? Here are reviews of three recent shows from Barbara Malley, Robin Kradles, and Donna Hayes that reflect the delicious diversity that is cabaret.
