Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow's non-profit organization, the Manilow Music Project, will put tens of thousands of dollars of musical instruments into the hands of fifteen Clark County School District middle schools and high schools at a celebratory delivery and distribution event on Thursday, October 7th, 2010 at Valley High School in Clark County, Nevada. Reinvigorating the school system's music program at a critical time of need, and credited with putting instruments in the hands of 600 students who would otherwise be unable to participate; this is the single largest donation of its kind in Clark County history for a music program.

According to a report by Variety, Broadway director Kenny Leon is set to direct the film version of the Jennifer Thompson-Cannino's 'Picking Cotton', entitled 'Cotton'. Adapted by Todd Komarnicki, the film is about a friendship that develops between a woman and her falsely identified rapist.

Grease will close on 30 April 2011 after nearly four electrifyin' years in the West End and will immediately begin a national tour opening at the Edinburgh Playhouse on 6 May 2011.
