Conceived, curated, and conducted by Semyon Bychkov, the New York Philharmonic presents Beloved Friend - Tchaikovsky and His World: A Philharmonic Festival, a three-week festival featuring orchestral, chamber, and vocal programs that explore music by Tchaikovsky and composers who influenced or were influenced by him, from January 24 to February 11. Beloved Friend continues the Philharmonic's recent tradition of annual, multi-week festivals, with Mr. Bychkov focusing this year's festival on Tchaikovsky as part of his international, multi-season Tchaikovsky project, Beloved Friend, which also includes recordings and additional concert series.

The Public Theater presents the New York Premiere of PARTY PEOPLE by UNIVERSES (Steven Sapp, Mildred Ruiz-Sapp, and William Ruiz a.k.a Ninja). Developed and directed by Liesl Tommy with choreography by Millicent Johnnie, PARTY PEOPLE began performances on November 1 and runs through Sunday, December 4, with an official press opening tonight, November 15.

The Oratorio Society of New York (OSNY), New York's standard for grand choral performance, will mark its 2016-17 season with performances of symphonic choral masterworks of Handel, Mozart, Bruckner, and Britten, ending with Bach's monumental Mass in B Minor. Shakespeare's Globe has announced full casting for Matthew Dunster's production of IMOGEN. Award-winning actor Maddy Hill, in the lead role of Imogen, is best known for the recurring role of Nancy Carter in EastEnders (BBC), for which she won Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards in 2015, and Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards 2014, as well as being nominated for Best Newcomer at the TV Choice Awards 2014. Maddy will be joined by Jonathan McGuinness as Cymbeline, Ira Mandela Siobhan as Posthumus and Matthew Needham as Iachimo. Running from 17 September, Imogen is Shakespeare's Cymbeline renamed and reclaimed.

The Almeida will broadcast Artistic Director Rupert Goold's production of RICHARD III, with Ralph Fiennes as Shakespeare's most notorious villain and Vanessa Redgrave as Queen Margaret, live to cinemas in the UK and around the world today 21 July.
