Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino has announced the 2014 season, in which, through the prism of a dozen plays, the Stratford Festival will explore the theme of Madness: Minds Pushed to the Edge.

THE PIANIST OF WILLESDEN LANE, starring internationally-acclaimed storyteller and pianist, Mona Golabek, which was recently extended due to popular demand through September 1, will host a special talk back discussion on Sunday, August 18 following with 3 p.m. performance. The talk back will feature a special guest appearance by Kindertransport survivor Ernst Heimann, member of the Speakers' Bureau at the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center. The production is adapted and directed by Hershey Felder and based on the book The Children of Willesden Lane by Golabek and Lee Cohen. The Chicago premiere has received rave reviews and follows successful productions in Los Angeles and Boston.

TONIGHT, Thursday, May 30, 2013, The Gold Coast International Film Festival is honored to present a screening of the film Portrait of Wally at Great Neck Arts Center, 113 Middle Neck Road, Great Neck (entrance off Maple Drive). The evening, which is being produced by the Gold Coast International Film Festival and Gold Coast Arts Center (formerly known as the Great Neck Arts Center) in conjunction with the Town of North Hempstead and the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County and is sponsored by the Claire Friedlander Family Foundation, will feature a reception at 6:30pm, film at 7:30 PM followed by a Q&A sessionwith Historian and Author Willi Korte after the film.

In conjunction with its production of Tadeusz Slobodzianek's Our Class, PICT Theatre has coordinated a panel discussion that includes noted historian Jan T. Gross, author of the book Neighbors, which revealed that the killing of up to 1600 Jews in Jedwabne, Poland in 1941 was perpetrated by their own neighbors and not the Germans. The play Our Class tells the story of 10 classmates who betray one another as Soviet and Nazi regimes invade their village.

Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts has announced its 2012-13, 24th Season. Including LE POÈME HARMONIQUE IN "VENEZIA," on opening night, eight intriguing composer portraits, featuring John Cage, Jonathan Harvey, Olga Neuwirth, Sofia Gubaidulina, Enno Poppe, Rebeecca Saunders, Oliver Knussen and Julio Estrada. Bach, Revisted, highlights innovators, baroque and modern alike, featuring Jennifer Koh teaming up with mentor Jaime Laredo, harpsichordist Kristian Bezuidenhout and Ensemble Signal playing Bach, Rebel and Michael Gordon, and pianist Christopher Taylor juxtaposing Bach and Rzewski. Opening night is scheduled for Monday, September 21, 2010, at 7:00pm. The production runs through October 31, 2010.
