Yorkey Set to Helm Village Theatre's JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, 5/11-7/3

Village Theatre is thrilled to announce that Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Brian Yorkey will return in the 2010-2011 Season to direct Village Theatre's highly anticipated production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.

Yorkey is the recently famed author behind the Broadway hit Next To Normal. Previously he served as Village Theatre's associate artistic director for Village Theatre, and was a pioneering force behind Village Theatre's popular youth education program, KIDSTAGE. His most recent directoral work for Village Theatre was last seen in Lost In Yonkers (2010), AIDA (2008), and Footlight Award winner, The Who's TOMMY (2007).

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR will run in Issaquah May 11-July 3, 2011 and in Everett from July 8-31, 2011. The easiest way to secure the best seats in the house on a preferred date to JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is by purchasing a season ticket. Village Theatre Mainstage 5-Show season ticket packages are on sale now and include productions of The Full Monty, Anne of Green Gables, Sleuth, Iron Curtain, as well as Jesus Christ Superstar. 5-Show season tickets range in price from $80-$240 (Issaquah) and $75-$215 (Everett).

Single tickets go on-sale for each production at different times throughout the season and range in price from $20-$60 in Issaquah, and $21-$54 in Everett. For JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, single tickets go on sale in Issaquah in March 2011, and in Everett in May 2011.

Gaudette Theatre in Issaquah located at 303 Front Street North and at the Everett Performing Arts Center located at 2710 Wetmore Avenue.
