Wing-It Hires New Managing Director

Wing-It Productions is pleased to announce the hiring a new Managing Director, Renee Mona. Renee will be taking over the position in May of 2011. Brandon Jepson, our current Managing Director, will be taking over the new position of Production Director, which will allow him to focus solely on show production.

Renee brings 20 years of business, non- profit and education experience to this position. She served for 5 years as President and CEO of the Washington State Office of Communities in Schools, and provided fund raising and alumni outreach for the UW's Foster Business School. She has extensive experience in organizational management, donor relations and long-term strategic planning for companies.

Wing-It Productions created a strategic plan in 2008 to grow the company, increase audience size and improve show quality. Artistic Director Andrew McMasters says, "Wing-It has seen a lot of growth in the last 5 years. It became apparent that we needed to expand our staff in order to effectively manage that growth. We're grateful that, in a time when other theaters are losing their spaces or closing down, we are looking at expansion. We have our audiences to thank for that. The community's support of Wing-It has been extraordinary. It's a very pivotal time for the company, and we're excited to bring Renee on to address those needs. "

Wing-It Productions has 6 full time staff members and employs 50 actors a year at its theater in the University District.
