Intiman Theatre's Board of Trustees elected a new slate of officers, including new Board President Kim A. Anderson, and four new Board members in a unanimous vote at the Theatre's Annual Meeting on Monday, April 6, 2009. Intiman's yearly "state of the union," which is open to Trustees, donors, subscribers and volunteers, also included recognition of outgoing Board President Susan J. Leavitt, a report from the Intiman Theatre Foundation and remarks from Managing Director Brian Colburn and Associate Director Sheila Daniels.
"Since 2003, Intiman has seen an overall 23% increase in ticket sales," Colburn noted. "We are not immune to the current economic crisis; even as our attendance has risen, we've seen an impact in contributed income that is threatening to us. We will be asking for sustaining support from the new, larger family of donors that helped us successfully complete our Dramatically Different capacity-building campaign. But we are not backing off our core principles of programming, or our commitment to amplify the conversation we have with our audience through community programs, discussions and events that are essential to our work well beyond the productions on stage."The new Board officers elected for the 2009 season are: President: Kim A.
