Pony World Theatre Offers ASL Performance of OR, THE WHALE Today

Pony World Theatre announces that American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be included in tonight's November 7th performance of its new play, Or, the Whale.

ASL interpretation allows us to share this company-generated work with audience members who rarely get to enjoy attending small or fringe theatres. This will be the second production from PWT to include ASL interpretation, continuing our goal of sharing theatre with as wide an audience as possible.

To ensure economic accessibility to the arts, Pony World is also offering a $1 ticket night on October 30 and a Pay-What-You-Can performance on Monday November 3. Further details available at www.ponyworld.org and orthewhale.brownpapertickets.com.

Or, the Whale features "M", a lonely call-center employee of the US Census who falls in love with Moby Dick. She risks her job to share the book with the strangers she meets over the phone, including a truck driver, an astronaut, and a woman who won't leave the bathtub. A modern response to Herman Melville's classic, Or, the Whale uses music, spectacle, and surprise to bring the themes and characters.
