Village Theatre Pied Piper is excited to present the uproarious new musical, GIGGLE, GIGGLE, QUACK at the Everett Civic Auditorium on Saturday, February 12, 2011.

The New York Times bestselling author Doreen Cronin brings back ole Farmer Brown's wacky animal gang in this brand new musical, based on Giggle, Giggle, Quack, the sequel to her Caldecott Award-winning book, Click, Clack, Moo: Cows that Type. When a very weary Farmer Brown takes a much-needed vacation, he leaves his city-slicker brother, Bob, in charge. The mischievous farm animals are quick to exploit the situation. Duck, being the manipulative mallard that he is, takes it upon himself to revise the list of instructions Farmer Brown left for Bob and give it a slight upgrade. Among his demands are "pizza for the hen," "bubble baths for the pig," and "movie night for the cow." The barnyard howls with laughter as Duck's ploy is accomplished and Bob bewilderedly complies with the unusual instructions.

Cronin's books are always sure-fire hits among children. The beloved characters that render her books so successful are back and brought to life with a degree of vigor and wit that audiences will absolutely love. Pied Piper Manager, Erica Weir, raves about how "Kids just go crazy watching as chaos ensues, hysterically on stage." The unbelievable amount of energy that GIGGLE, GIGGLE, QUACK exhibits is an experience in itself that audiences of any age will treasure.

This exuberant musical comes to Village Theatre from Dallas Children's Theater, which was rated by TIME Magazine as "one of the top 5 theaters in the nation performing for youth," and reaches over 250,000 young people and their families every year with its incredible touring shows. Invigorating the madcap musical mutiny is an upbeat and entertaining score, with music and lyrics by George Howe.

The public performance of GIGGLE, GIGGLE, QUACK will take place Saturday February 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Everett Civic Auditorium. One hour prior to curtain, young people are invited to participate in pre-show arts, crafts, and fun in partnership with Imagine Children's Museum.

Village Theatre is also excited to offer an opportunity for families to delve deeper into the story behind the show with "Page to Stage Storytimes." Led by Erica Weir, Pied Piper Manager, these engaging and interactive 15-minute readings are excellent precursors to their respective performances. The event is aimed at exploring the themes and books associated with this particular Pied Piper performance. The Page to Stage Storytime for GIGGLE, GIGGLE, QUACK will take place at Imagine Children's Museum on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 between 11:15AM-1:00PM.
