Kirkland Arts Center Presents MeTube At Bumbershoot 9/6
Kirkland Arts Center Presents MeTube- Part of Bumbershoot's Words and Ideas programming Monday, September 6, 12 PM at the Leo K Theatre (Seattle Repertory Theatre)
As part of Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival this summer, Kirkland Arts Center presents MeTube, a variant of its ever-popular gallery event, BrüTübe. MeTube invites three notable and intriguing individuals from the region to select and present sets of videos found online that express aspects of their identity. Pulling from the enormous "open-source" media resource of the web, each speaker has a unique opportunity to reflect and share about three phases of their life.
Each will present a 20-minute set of videos that speak to their perceived past, present, and future, while demonstrating how we are increasingly connected through social media.
Our MeTube guests are:
Jim Woodring (Artist, 2010 Stranger Genius Award)
David Schmader (Stranger columnist/editor)
Kim Warnick (Musician, The Fastbacks)
