KAC is pleased to present our 2009 Visiting Artist, David S. East. East joins us from October 22 to October 24 to present a 2-Day Workshop and a free public lecture.
Workshop: Emphasize Invention
Friday & Saturday, October 23 - 24
10 AM - 6 PM
East's workshop emphasizes invention and pushes beyond the obvious. Develop new ideas that question and reinvestigate habits of studio practice. East will present options for the construction of one-piece molds and lead the group through making their own mold. Processes covered include template systems, simple hump molds, and more! Prerequisite: Clay experience recommended. Supply list available online. Member: $160 Nonmember: $180

East will discuss his own work and share his knowledge of contemporary ceramic arts. This lecture is a must for anyone interested in current practices and new directions in ceramics. No registration necessary.
