Jennifer Jasper didn't speak until she was 3 years old. And when she finally did, in full sentences, her family didn't understand her. But growing up the middle child of five girls, struggling to express herself, she forged a knack for observation, turning those observations into comedy. Her stories are brutally honest, sometimes poignant, and absolutely hilarious.

Hosted by Jennifer Jasper, storytellers, dancers, writers, musicians, artists will be sharing their sick, hilarious, and ultimately relatable familial skeletons on the third Wednesday of each month. Each performance will help a family in the artist community who has had an unforeseen crisis. Closing the evening will be a new story randomly drawn from Jennifer's kooky family album of Jasper Jewels.

Jennifer Jasper has been a fixture of the Northwest theater scene for more than two decades, known for acting, directing, and emceeing. She co-founded Kings' Elephant Theatre (original long form improvisational pieces and scripted plays) and Vixen Productions (Pulp Vixens, A Fistful of Lesbians). Known for her character work, she is a frequent hostess and emcee as the scotch-swilling, hard-living "Maggie." Jennifer's hit autobiographical show I Can Hear You...But I'm Not Listening was featured most recently at Theatre Off Jackson's SPF Festival in March of 2013. In 2013 she was awarded a Jack Straw Artist Support Residency and is currently working on her next solo show as Theatre Off Jackson's Artist in Residence.
