Icicle Creek Music Center Features Feriante, 2/4

By:

Just one week before his much anticipated performance at Seattle's Benaroya Hall, Seattle-based guitar virtuoso Andre Feriante brings together two exceptional musician friends - pianist Overton Berry and operatic tenor Steve Thoreson - to Leavenworth, Washington to present Pure Passion, a variation of his classically romantic, expressive and musically fiery show, on February 4, 2011 at 7:30 pm at Sleeping Lady Chapel Theater. This distinctive evening is a master musician's showcase, blending jazz-tinted flamenco, improv, and classical guitar offerings with rich, resonant classic arias and cool, sophisticated jazz in a concert that moves fluidly from Bach to Leonard Cohen, to Segovia, to poetry and original spoken word compositions.

Pure Passion has a power and beauty that is matched by the idyllic tranquility found in Washington's Cascade Mountains at the stunning Sleeping Lady Chapel Theater in Leavenworth, a soulful artistic combination, that Feriante offers in the spirit of Valentine's Day.

The internationally recognized master guitarist will please his extensive Pacific Northwest fan base with his characteristic multi-guitar arrangements, as well as introduce his recent explorations with the mandolin and ukulele. Accompanying Feriante will be North Bend operatic phenomenon Steve Thoreson, whose powerful, expressive tenor voice has been compared to that of Luciano Pavarotti. Thoreson has performed in 27 countries worldwide and has been called "a major force to contend with in the world of opera" and extraordinary jazz pianist Overton Berry, a Pacific Northwest "living legend" whose musical career spans over 50 years and many countries.

With Pure Passion presented by Icicle Creek Music Center in Leavenworth, Washington, Feriante, Berry, and Thoreson will be reunited for the first time since their popular performance at Benaroya Hall nearly one year ago for a one night only concert. Come experience the musical sensation! Seating is limited in the intimate Sleeping Lady Chapel Theater so get your tickets today. Guests are also invited to extend their blissful evening with an overnight stay at the breathtaking Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort.
