Coming up on September 9 from 10am to 2pm, The Players Centre for Performing Arts will be hosting an open house for the brand NEW Arnold Simonsen Players Studio (1400 Boulevard of the Arts, Suite 200, Sarasota, FL 34236.) The event will be complete with a ribbon cutting, performances by The Players Kids, and a few more fun surprises! This is the time to see first-hand the brand new facility and meet the faculty.

The new studio will be a few blocks away from the current location of The Players Centre for Performing Arts in downtown Sarasota. This studio will hold all of the dance, acting and singing classes taught by Players Studio staff, as well as rehearsal spaces for performance groups and upcoming main stage and Backstage at the Players shows.

The full list of classes is online at theplayers.org and those interested can register over the phone, or online (app.thestudiodirector.com/theplayersinc/portal.sd). There are many new classes being offered in the 2017-18 studio year. Some highlights include Boys Street Dance (ages 7 to 12) and Kids Musical Theatre (ages 6 to 7) as well as a new performance group, The Players Dance Company, an audition only dance group that will attend dance competitions within the state under the direction of Brian Finnerty and Logan Junkins. The Players Studio staff is excited to bring back Teen/Adult Singing taught by Berry Ayers and past performance group The Players Teens (ages 12 to 17), an audition only group who will perform a full length straight play in April 2018, under the direction of Amanda Heisey.

The Players is committed to their motto "no child is turned away for their inability to pay." Some students utilize financial assistance and scholarships funded by grants and generous donors.
