They may be the last band of this year's Friday Fest series but Reverend Barry & Funktastic Soul Featuring The Hellacious Horns won't be slowing anything down! The band will be grooving on the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall bayside lawn on Friday, September 15, from 5PM-9PM.

Bring your dancing shoes and get ready for the best of Michael Jackson, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, and more. You won't want to miss one of the only bands in Florida with a four-piece horn section, delivering the authentic sound of funk and soul music!

Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and take advantage of the last Friday Fest of the summer, enjoy the free music along with the beautiful Sarasota sunset and enjoy food and beverage from local vendors. Friday Fest '17 will take place "rain or shine" and, in the event of inclement weather, will be moved indoors to the Grand Foyer or Main Stage of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Outside food and drink are prohibited; coolers and large umbrellas are also prohibited. Entry to the Friday Fest event is Free!

Co-presenting sponsors of Friday Fest are Gettel Automotive Group and Cool Today; the talent sponsor is BNI Business by the Bay. Additional sponsors include: ABC 7, Z105, Budweiser, SRQ Media, Van Wezel Foundation, Mattison's Bayside, and the Herald-Tribune Media Group.

Additional related event: Join us to Celebrate a Sarasota Sunset on the Bay welcoming guests from the World Rowing Championship and visitors from around the world. The free event Sunset on the Bay will take place on the Van Wezel bayside lawn and will welcome Yesterdayze and the West Coast Black Theatre Troupe to the outdoor stage on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 4PM-8PM. As with our Friday Fest's Outside food and drink are prohibited; coolers and large umbrellas are also prohibited.
