Principal Cast Announced for Stephen Sondheim's INTO THE WOODS at Rise Above Performing Arts
Rise Above Performing Arts in Sarasota Florida will begin their second season with Into the Woods on September 21st to the 23rd, 2017 at the Glenridge Performing Arts Center.
Rise Above Artistic Director Jacob Ruscoe will direct the Sondheim classic with music direction by Joi Chapman and choreography by Rachael Nicole Henry with Krista Baker serving as Development Coordinator and Playwright KEVIN Ray Johnson (The Unpredictable Times, Reginald: From Baltimore to Billionaire, A (funny) Imagination) as the Creative Artistic Advisor.
Rounding out the Principal cast will be Judah Woomert (A Christmas Story at Paper Mill Playhouse) as The Baker, Annika Trout (Baker's Wife), Emily Mollin (Witch), Alyssa Baker (Little Red), Sarah Conte (Cinderella), Taylor McConnell (Rapunzel), Ryan Hunek (Jack), Zach Thompson (Cinderella's Prince), Owen Demaio (Rapunzel's Prince), Mackenzie O'Connor (Wolf), Addison Ruscoe (Mysterious Man), Maddy Lostorto (Steward) Bryn Dulitz (Cinderella's Stepmother), Saige Cherryhomes (Florinda), Abby Telinger (Lucinda), Aubrey Solum (Jack's Mother), Johanna Studebaker (Giant), Brynn Patee (Milky White) and Caroline Russell and Haylie Smith as The Narrator.
Into the Woods is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The musical intertwine the plots of several Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters wishes ad quests.
