GREASE is the Word at Rise Above Performing Arts in 2018

Rise Above Performing Arts will be presenting Grease which will run from January 18th - 21st, 2018. It will be directed Rise Above's Artistic Director Jacob Ruscoe, Music Directed by Joi Chapman with Choreography Rachael Nicole Henry. They all also serve on the board along with Krista Baker (Development Coordinator), KEVIN Ray Johnson (Creative Arts Advisor) and Jeff Dulitz (Technical Director).

The production is sponsored Community Foundation of Sarasota.

The Principal cast includes Jonah Duchesne-Shaw (Danny Zuko), Taylor Reister (Sandy), Stevie Romero (Kenickie), Sarah Conte (Rizzo), Leah Henry (Frenchy), Anthony Lobo (Doody), Emily Mollin (Marty), Nicolas Palacio (Sonny), Brynn Partee (Jan), Todd Bellamy (Roger), Olivia Milholland (Patty), Kenneth McNiven (Eugene), Hailey Smith (Miss Lynch), Kate Mobley-Tarpley (Cha-Cha), Drew Miller (Vince Fontaine), Dylan Ramon (Teen Angel), Yeoshua Wilson (Johnny Casino) with Annika Trout, Kansas Reed, Bryn Dulitz, Cooper Flerlage and Zach Thompson serving as Swings.

Full cast will be announced prior to opening.

With Music, Book and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey the show according to press notes tells the story of a high school romance of Danny Zuko and Sand Dumbrowski, this musical captures the rock 'n' roll spirit of the 1950s. The score includes the songs "Summer Nights", "Beauty School Dropout", "Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee" and "We Go Together".
