DICK FOX'S GOLDEN BOYS Comes to Van Wezel

Teen heartthrobs in the late '50's and '60's, Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell have been performing together as Dick Fox's Golden Boys in packed venues across the country since 1985. Always a fan favorite, they return to the Van Wezel stage to take the audience on a trip down memory lane! On Tuesday, January 29th at 7:30 p.m., hear all-time greatest hits like Volare (Bobby Rydell), Tiger (Fabian) and one of the biggest hits of the era, Venus (Frankie Avalon). The Golden Boys have done it all from topping the charts as teen idols and selling out shows to appearing in major films and television. Don't miss a special performance featuring these three stars as they combine their talents to perform a tribute to the material of Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin, Rick Nelson and Bill Hailey!

Frankie Avalon made the transition from teenage idol to professional, and his career now spans three generations of music, television and motion pictures. His first single "De De Dinah" became a smash hit, and "Bobby Sox to Stockings" became a fan favorite.

At the age of 14, Fabian Forte was discovered while sitting on his front steps in Philadelphia. His career brought him dozens of hit singles, eight albums, gold records for "Turn Me Loose" and "Tiger" and a gold album for The Fabulous Fabian. He has hosted "Fabian's Celebrity Golf Tournament" for the past 3 years, successfully raising money for veteran's causes.

Bobby Rydell made his debut in the late '50s as a rock and roll teen idol. He starred in movies such as Bye Bye Birdie and plays such as West Side Story, and later appeared several times on the Red Skelton Show and American Bandstand. His recording career earned him 34 Top 40 records, putting him in the top 5 of all single artists from this time period.
