BALLETBOYZ Come to Van Wezel

The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall welcomes the UK's BalletBoyz to the stage for the very first time on Thursday, February 1 at 8PM. The company is one of the most cheekily original and innovative forces in modern dance. Led by former Royal Ballet dancers Michael Nunn OBE and William Trevitt OBE, the company thrills audiences and critics the world over with its distinctive style, fusing spectacular dance both energetic and graceful, with stunning music and film.

This phenomenal troupe features 10 exceptional young dancers in an exhilarating evening of two explosive works, Serpent and Fallen. "[Liam] Scarlett's Serpent is a revelation," (Metro) a series of kinetic duets that progress into a never-ending stream of beautiful movement. In contrast, Russell Maliphant's award-winning Fallen is a "viscerally thrilling" (The Telegraph) adrenaline rush driven by industrial-strength music resulting in "a work of incredible assurance and magnificent sweep." The Times.

Tickets are $21-$56. Purchase at VanWezel.org, the Box Office, or by calling 941-953-3368.
