Art Center Sarasota's 'Instructors and Students Invitational Show' Opens Next Month

Art Center Sarasota presents its annual "Instructors and Students Invitational Show," November 4-27. An opening reception celebrating the artists and the recently updated atrium is Thursday, November 4, 6-8 p.m. The exhibit features work in various mediums by a multitude of Art Center Sarasota instructors and their students. Elizabeth Goodwill, Art Center Sarasota's education director, says the exhibit gives the center's instructors, who are all professional artists "an opportunity to showcase their high level of mastery and distinctive techniques. Viewers also get to see the diversity of disciplines we offer here." Goodwill notes that the center offers painting classes in watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, cold wax, and mixed media, as well as drawing, printmaking, resin, batik, and more. "This is a great opportunity for artists who are looking for instruction that meets their interests to visually see what will be offered."
