The Alden Theatre will present the wild and wonderful, The Sippy Cups, as the final offering of its 2009-2010 McLean Kids Performance Series. The San Francisco-based children's rock band will perform at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 5. Tickets are $20, $16 for McLean tax district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

The Sippy Cups will present their spectacular live show, which includes giant balloons, confetti cannons, aerialists and costumed characters, all bringing their songs to life. Founded by the parents of preschoolers, the band includes singer/keyboardist Paul Godwin, singer/guitarist Rudy Trubitt, drummer Jozef Becker and bassist Ariane Cap, as well as juggler/unicyclist/all-around character Doug Nolan, multi-instrumentalist Gabby La La and juggler/dancer Zack Bernstein. The show is suitable for children age 3 and older. "This innovative San Francisco band doesn't just play rock and roll; it plays WITH rock and roll, adding mischievous layers to a classic punk-funk sound." -Cookie Magazine
