Scripps Ranch Theatre’s “Out on a Limb: New Plays from Americas Finest City,” the only play festival to focus exclusively on new works by San Diego writers, is expanding. As part of the San Diego International Fringe Festival, Out on a Limb presents a brand new one-act play called Ray's Last Case, by playwright Tim West, directed by Charles Peters, featuring actors Randy Coull, Jill Drexler, Tracey McNeil, Charlie Riendeau, John Tessmer and Nick Young. Ray’s Last Case is about the last days of detective novelist Raymond Chandler, who resided in La Jolla from 1947 to his death in 1959.
