Tickets are now on sale for Disney's When You Wish, presented by Marquee Productions, the alumni division of Children's Musical Theater San Jose. This original work premieres for two weeks only April 17 - 26 at the Montgomery Theater in downtown San Jose. Tickets are $30 and support ongoing arts-education programs for the nationally recognized youth theater company.

Disney's When You Wish is a magical exploration of Disney music, song and dance. Based on an earlier work created by Disney Theatrical Productions in New York, When You Wish was adapted by CMT Artistic Director Kevin Hauge. It follows three young children into a dreamland, which extends far beyond their imaginations. Using Disney music and magic as their guide, this night of enchantment brings to life our most beloved Disney characters and stories, including The Little Mermaid, Tarzan, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Peter Pan and more. "Under the always superb direction of Kevin Hauge, I have no doubt that this production of Disney's When You Wish will shine," said Steve Fickinger, vice president, Disney Theatrical Productions. "The Children's Theater of San Jose plays such a vital role in its community, and I'm delighted that Disney is part of this special season."

Disney's When You Wish marks Marquee Productions' fifth anniversary. Past successes include Ragtime (2008), Thoroughly Modern Millie (2007), The Full Monty (2006) and Chess (2005). The Marquee Production was created to offer performance opportunities for CMT alumni and experienced adult performers from throughout the Bay Area. "Having a chance to develop a new piece of work with our Marquee Performers means we're creating work, not only around great material, but also great performers," says director Kevin Hauge. " Working with this talented cast has allowed us work at an even higher level, resulting in a custom built piece of art that takes into consideration not only the materials but also the people on stage."
